Welcome back

Continue your CBH journey.

Leaving California Behavioral Health was never meant to be the end of your care.

Now that you have joined the CBH alumni, this app is yours. It exists so that everyone who completed treatment here has somewhere to land afterward — a way to reach staff who know you, a room full of people who understand the day you are having, and a reminder each morning that the work is holding.

Forty-four percent of our alumni are completely abstinent a year after discharge, nearly double the national norm. That number is not luck. It is what happens when people stay connected. So stay connected.

Use this app however it helps. Check in daily, or open it once in six months on a hard night. Both count.

Alumni stories

People who graduated from here.

Recovery is easier to believe in when you can see it in someone who sat in the same chairs you did.

Jessica, two years into recovery

A story from inside these walls

Jessica's Story

Jessica Morley was a flight attendant, and she was proud of it. Behind the smile she gave passengers, she was quietly disappearing. Alcohol, then marijuana, then Adderall — what began as a prescription became something she felt she could not function without.

She describes it as losing herself. Her personality. Her joy. Her identity.

At 36 she lost the job she loved after testing positive. It was the moment she could no longer pretend everything was fine. Her airline gave her one chance: get help. That chance brought her to Cathedral City.

She arrived exhausted in every sense. Years of running on substances and a few hours of sleep a night had caught up with her, and for the first several days she mostly slept while her body started to repair itself.

Then, slowly, she came out of her room. She started talking. She started laughing. She made friends. She started making art again. Piece by piece, the person she thought she had lost came back.

Two years and counting — clean, active in recovery, and helping other people find their way back.

Today she is giving back through service, building real friendships, and preparing to return to the career she thought was gone for good. Her story isn't only about getting clean. It's about coming home to herself.

Welcome. This room is here so you don't have to do the next part alone. Say hello, ask a question, mark a milestone, or just read for a while — there's no wrong way to use it. I'll be checking in during the week.
